As recommended by the Clinical Practice Guidelines published in 2020, Behavioural Therapy is the foundational treatment to managing weight. Therefore, in order to change a client’s eating habits, we must first understand their daily behaviours.
Sara has extensive knowledge in behaviour change and she has trained under the supervision of Dr. David Macklin, MD, the co-author of Psychological and Behavioural Interventions chapter in the 2020 Clinical Practice Guidelines. Her expertise and training allows her to use the principles of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help her clients successfully manage their weight.
